Comments Rules

Since the previous version of blog software I used was nothing more than a spam portal, I’ve gotten some tighter controls over who can post comments on this site.  However, that does not mean that comments are unwelcome!  There are just a few rules to abide by.

1) No profanity, pornography, or otherwise objectional material–keep it rated no more than PG!

2) Keep the comment at lest semi-relevant to the original blog post!  Off topic comments will be deleted.

3) No offensive abuse toward anyone else who may comment.  This one is more subjective, but my judgment is final.  If I say you’ve crossed the line, then you’ve crossed the line.

4) Nothing illegal may be posted.  This includes links to other places where the illegal activity occurs.

Other than that…feel free to comment.  Now, in order to comment you will need to sign in.  Despite the fact that I use Wordpress, if you’ve already signed up for Wordpress on their site it will not work on this site!  Only people who sign up on this site will be able to post.

Secondly, please note that your first post will need to be approved before you can post at will.  Once you have a comment approved, your posts will not be moderated unless you violate the rules above.

Finally, if you post a comment with more than 2 links in it, it will be sent to the moderation cue too.  This is because spammers like to include lots of links.  Therefore, if you post a comment with several links, realize that you will need to wait for it to be moderated before it will show up.  We try to check this several times a day, so your comments shouldn’t be in moderation for longer than a few hours.
