I’m taking a class that started today, and one of the assignments is that I have to read Genesis - Esther…during the course of the class. This is somewhat annoying to me as I’ve already read these books several times (I’ve read the entire Bible through three complete times, and most of the books in the list multiple times aside from that). Of course, I should clarify–it’s only annoying because I have to read two textbooks in addition to these books, which I am already familiar with, not because I don’t enjoy reading the Bible.
In any case, since I’ll have to read them and keep track of the dates that I finish each book, I’ll do so here for the following reasons: A) Because I can.
Thankfully, they’re not requiring me to use a heretical version of the Bible (NIV, KJV, NASB, etc.). I can stick with the ESV, which is God’s own English. Yes, yes, I am an ESVO now, for the following reasons: A) Because I can.
