Just a couple of things, mostly random stuff (but hey, I’m a random dude).
1. I’m thinking of working on my first non-fiction book. I’ve written several fictional novels already, but now I’ve actually got a fairly good idea for a theological and/or philosophical non-fiction book. As I flesh it out and decide whether or not to write it, I’ll keep y’all informed.
2. I just read another article about the Book of Daniel, the…rather…um….interesting TV show that NBC thought would be offensive to Christians and therefore a money-maker for them. This comment doesn’t really have to do with that show in particular, though. Instead, having also just finished reading Arrogance by Bernard Goldstein (who used to work for CBS) and then reading that article, I just can’t help but think about the mental state of people in their New York City ivory towers as they think about what the Red States look like. Perhaps one of these days, someone from NYC will actually come to a place like Colorado…or even the Bronx. Could change their perspective (but of course, George Double-F-You Shrub is the one in the the bubble, as evidenced by how clever liberals can alter his name, not to mention how many times they say he’s in a bubble in Newsweek). I’d pin an award on their chest for excellence in stupidity, but the weight of it would break their liberal spine.
3. Not that any of the above takes us off the hook. I think a lot more conservatives need to do a little more studying so that, when those irritating little liberals pop up, we can have the confidence to just ignore them like they deserve instead of giving credence to their position by pretending they have a rational reason to believe what they do.
4. Did you ever notice it’s a lot easier to make money in video games than in real life? I blame Bush for this.
Finally, 5. Thought experiment for you. What do you think would happen if people who had no clue about how to run technology actually learned how to use it instead of complaining about how they don’t know how to use it? Would the world stop, or would hell just freeze over?
