WHY DON’T WE HAVE A WHYEVER?
Last night, I shaved my head. I normally don’t have very long hair in the first place, but it’d been about two months since my last haircut and my hair grows way too fast for me. :-( In any case, I did it myself using the electric hair trimmer and, once it was down to size, good old fashioned shaving cream and a straight razor. Boo-yah!
In any case, when I went with the electric trimmer, I had it with no guard (obviously). As I cut my hair, I started about the temple area and went horizontally back. All this to say that after the first couple of swipes, I looked like a monk from The Name of the Rose. I had a tonsure.
And when I looked in the mirror, it made me look down-right old! But once I shaved that part off too, I looked my own age again. Whew. I might be able to post a few pictures in the future, but until then, just think of James White or Howie Mandel.
I just read this article on FoxNews which states:
According to an eyewitness, an entertainment media outlet asked [Charlize] Theron how she was feeling about [Heath Ledger's death], as numerous cameras rolled just moments after the news broke.
Theron, however, had not been informed.
Now it’s not so much the fact that Theron was notified of a friend’s death in an interview, but look at what was asked. She was asked how she felt.
Seriously now, are reporters born with a sub-zero IQ or do they have to work at it to get this stupid? How do you think someone would feel when one of their friends is found dead?
“Gee, I feel fine. I’m glad my friend died. Can you pass the salt?”
How did these people ever get journalism degrees?
Yeah. Britney wouldn’t have been a surprise, but I didn’t see THIS one coming.
This Global Warming hypothermia is getting annoying!
I WANT HEAT!
DOWN WITH COLD!
IF YOU AREN’T DRIVING AN SUV RIGHT NOW THEN YOU ARE THE PROBLEM!!!
Glad to get that off my chest.
Looking at the snow outside and feeling the nice, bitter wind…man, that Algore guy sure was right.
Yup, just got home from Denver after watching the Avs beat the Blue Jackets 3-1. Interestingly, one of the things that they do at the Pepsi Center is they have these free t-shirt give aways where one of the sections in the arena is chosen as the “winning” section and people go up and throw t-shirts at those sitting in the audience.
For the first time ever, I was in the section that was called. And I intercepted a pass to get my own t-shirt. Boo-yah. I was actually sitting five seats down the row and the guy tried to toss one over me to the back, but my arm just reached out and it was like my hand was glue. I wonder why this never happened to me when I actually played football back in my publik skewl days….
Oh well. I am now a winner. One of the elite. Take that :-P
More importantly, with this victory the Avs moved from 4th place in the Northwestern Division to…FIRST. Yup, it’s that close of a division right now. Looks like it’ll all go down to the wire once more. And if I read the ticket package right, I’ll get to see the very last game of the season, which (the way this division goes) may very well be the game the decides who’s in the playoffs.
*w00t*
BTW: Colorado College won last night too, beating Air Force 2-1. It was a good game too, and it was nice to have my dad there. Hockey pwns all! :-)
This weekend I will get to watch a lot of hockey! That’s right, it starts with tonight, where I’ll get to watch Colorado College and Air Force go at it. Both teams are local, so it’s hard to pick which one to cheer for in that one… Oh well. Tomorrow, after church, I’ll get to head up to Denver and watch the Avs play.
BTW: now is not a good time to be a leading scorer for the Avs, especially if your name starts with S. Sakic, Smyth, and Stastny are all out for several weeks. Watch out, Svatos…you’re probably next :-(
Aside from that, it’ll be great. For tonight’s college game, I’ll get to take my dad along too so he can finally see a hockey game. I think hockey is the best sport, but it’s that much better watching it live. Viva the REAL sport!!!!

It was also about 60 degrees warmer than our current air temp….
I just had a thought about polls. You know how they always have the +/- 3% margin of error (or whatever number is in there)? Ever notice how, particularly with election polls, the results of the election aren’t even in the same state, let alone the neighborhood, of the margin of error?
Shouldn’t margin of errors in polls be updated to reflect the fact that actual results are never close to the poll results, even factoring in the margin of error? Shouldn’t the margin of error be increased to, say, 95% (given current accuracy)?
Just some questions for this political season…
