Yesterday, I got on my bike and discovered that someone had torn out the electrical wire connecting my bike’s odometer’s mounting bracket to the sensor at the wheel. I’ve no doubt this was an accidental thing, as there were no other problems with the bike (and if someone was going to do something mean, I’m sure they’d have cut the brake cable too). But it did mean I had to bike down to the bike shop and get a new wire and mounting bracket for the odometer. At least I didn’t have to buy a new odometer. So now it’ll only be off by yet another mile. I think this means it’s currently about ten miles too short.
But at least I’m not in a doping scandal. There’s always that… :-P
