After working 2 1/2 hours of overtime yesterday, I got to bike home only to discover that I had a Trojan on my computer! Yes, that meant I got to spend the next four hours cleaning my registries, deleting Adware, and trying to re-immunize my system. The most annoying thing about this is that my anti-virus software says it released the update for this particular worm back on April 26. The first thing that I did when I saw the dumb pop-up boxes appear was check my anti-virus software and, sure ’nuff, it claimed that it downloaded the most current update at 8 AM on April 30. But for some reason, despite this, it still let this stupid evil little program waltz right in.
I wonder if the French designed my anti-virus software.
Oh well. At least it gave me an excuse to download all the registry cleaning programs I’ve wanted. Yeah. Something like that.
