The headline says it all: ”Unemployment Dips, But Hiring Slows: May Jobless Rate Drops to 4.6%, But Only 75,000 Jobs Are Created”

Yeah.

Let me give you another headline: “Man Wins $1 Million, But Still Must Pay For Own Food.”  Or: “Horse Wins Kentucky Derby, But Feels Tired Afterwards.”

It’s pretty easy to come up with “buts” that make good news sound horrible, ain’t it?

“CBS Reports News, But Not Accurately.”

Oh wait, that one’s actually true.
